IBM is visiting for conducting Off Campus Interview at VELTECH Engineering College for 2010 passed out batch on Saturday, June 26,2010 for Recruitments.


The Details are as follows:




Qualification:
Graduate ( BSc , B Com, B.E / B.Tech ( Circuit Branches) Degree ) from a reputed Institute, with Excellent Communication Skills in English.


Marks Criteria:

• 70% and above aggregate including all subjects in the first year, with no Standing Arrears in the Graduating degree
• 69.99% is not eligible to participate. 10th & 12th marks is not a constraint.

Job Description:
This role would involve working within a Remote Delivery Center Environment,Description |providing 1st and 2nd level support and maintenance of Databases, Applications,Mainframes and other third party products for Global Customers.


Responsibilities:

• It includes providing 24 X 7 offshore/remote support, candidates willing to work in any 24X7 shifts
• Manage and resolve problems assigned by help desk or operations. including on-call
• The role involves mission critical system for IBM clients
• Problem determination and resolution within agreed SLA.
• Implement changes, perform security related tasks, identify and recommend improvements to existing processes & procedures.
• Perform roles or tasks assigned by TL/manager
• Basic knowledge in word, Excel
• Work friendly with other team members
• Willing to relocate anywhere in India
• Willing to Travel (Domestic/Onsite)
• Ready to migrate from one platform to other (Eg, DBA to Application Support or Mainframes)

Required Skills -Non Technical
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Excellent in documenting
• Ability of quickly analyze & diagnose the problem
• Hardworking & Ready to learn
• To participate & Work with Local & Global Team

• Ability to acquire skills & keep them updated


Preferred Skills - Technical

• Understanding of One or more RDBMS systems, Middle Ware, Email Systems ( Lotus Notes, MS Exchange etc), Mainframes, SAP, PeopleSoft, Web applications
• Understand of IT infrastructure fundamentals. (ITIL)
• Basic knowledge in Server Operating Systems like UNIX, Windows, LINUX etc
• Basic knowledge Hardware
• Basic Knowledge in Programming

Recruitment Process:

• Group Discussion
• Aptitude Test
• Communication Assessment Test
• Final Interview

The selected candidates would undergo 3-4 months of technical class room training after selection.

7. Must be present at the venue by 8:30am.
8. Carrying Mobile phones is strictly prohibited, if found will lead to disqualification from the process
